MARY MURPHY is a Dublin-based author-illustrator of over 40 books for children. She has garnered a string of starred reviews and accolades in the USA, UK and Ireland for her work, which has also been adapted for TV. On publication in 2024, Mary’s first middle-grade novel The Minute Minders (Pushkin) was Children’s Book of the Week in both The Sunday Times and The Week Junior. She collaborated with Children’s Laureate Patricia Forde and other Irish Writers on Making It Up As You Go Along (Little Island, 2025). Of her latest picture book Oh, Thank You! (Quarto, 2026) the Irish Independent said, “this is an author / illustrator at the height of her powers”.
